In the immediate postpartum, the rule of thumb is:
"Sleep when the baby sleeps, fold laundry when the baby folds laundry."
This applies to mom 100% in the immediate postpartum, and to dad as much as is possible while being the “do literally everything that must be done” guy for at least two weeks.
Nesting is about securing postpartum rest for mom AND dad.
Make a Control Journal
Everyone works until all of the work is done, then everyone rests.
What does this look like on a daily basis?
Get your finances in order, create margin,
“How would a poor person do this?”
“How would a minimalist do this?”
